New: Autumn colours and first snow in the Swiss Alps

We haven’t had a lot of snow in the Alps until now. Last year the first snow came at the end of October just when the autumn colours were at their peak. Perfect timing! I love it when Mother Nature comes along and “photoshops” a bit of contrast into the already incredible scenery! This photograph was taken on 26 October last year just a few 100 metres from my house in the Gruyère region in Switzerland. Lucky me! The mountains are nicely lit by the late afternoon sun.

Alpine autumn colours

First snow in the Swiss alps whilst the trees still have their autumn colours.

Cheers, Johan 🙂
