Trees with a dusting of fresh snow are gorgeous. Therefore, mountain landscapes of alpine forests in winter are the most compelling after new snow has fallen. This photograph is a good example. It snowed just before it was taken. The late afternoon sun sheds light on the meadow and trees and fog rises from the valley behind the forest. The mountains of the Mont Blanc Massif are amongst the highest in the Alps. Their peaks still manage to show above the rising fog as a result.
The view captured in this winter landscape photograph, titled “Unspoiled”, is a view from a higher altitude near Le Chapelet in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. The photos titled Majestically Rising and Come Fly with Me were taken at the same location in Le Chapelet. Both these mountain landscape photographs show a bit more of the Mont Blanc Massif.
