This landscape photograph was captured in the Swiss National Park, near the small town of Zernez in the Swiss Canton of Graubünden. It was mid-October when this photograph was taken. As a result, the fall colours in this alpine larch tree forest were at their peak. The rising fog in the back was a nice bonus. The photograph looks a bit more mystical as a result.
The Swiss National Park, or Parc Naziunal Svizzer, is located in eastern Switzerland. It is part of the worldwide UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The park is very well-known for its vast larch tree forests and beautiful mountain scenery. Therefore, it is an excellent place for hiking as well as landscape photography. The park is certainly worth a visit, especially if you like to explore untouched nature. There is a big chance that you will run into some wildlife there as well.
