This photograph of a lake landscape is a very minimalist impression of a foggy and hazy day at a Swiss lake called Lac de Neuchâtel. A longer exposure time makes the water and sky appear smooth. The smooth water of the lake and clouds in the sky, in combination with a black & white conversion, create a minimalist photograph in black & white with a dreamy and soothing look and feel.
It is unclear why the signpost in this photograph is where it is and what it actually says. Despite limited traffic on the lake, our best bet is “Yield”. Hence the title of the photograph. This signpost stands in Lac de Neuchâtel close to Marin-Epagnier, a small town in the Swiss canton of Neuchâtel. Lac de Neuchâtel is one of the largest lakes in Switzerland and a great place for landscape photography.
