The name of the snow-covered Alp featured in this Swiss winter mountain landscape is Piz Tremoggia. Piz Tremoggia is a beautiful mountain in the Bernina Range of the Alps. Its highest point is at 3,441 metres (11,289 ft) above sea level, and it is located on the border between Italy and Switzerland. The viewpoint captured in this photograph is in Sils im Engadin/Segl. Sils im Engadin/Segl is a small town in the Engadin region in the Canton of Graubünden in the southeast of Switzerland.

The fog, or cloud, above the peak of Piz Tremoggia, seems to crawl up and reach for the moon sitting at the top of the frame. As a result, the scene immediately caught the eye. The title “Shoot for the Moon” seemed quite fitting for this landscape photograph.
