The fork shown in this lake landscape is a work of art by Jean-Pierre Zaugg. It commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Musée de l’Alimentation, or Nestlé Alimentarium in English, in Vevey, Switzerland. The museum devotes itself to the history of food products. The fork is an odd but fascinating object to photograph, and it begs for this minimalist approach. So, a longer exposure time smoothened the water, and a black and white conversion did the rest. This combination simplifies the photograph and makes it nicely soothing. As a result, it enhances the minimalist look and feel of the photo. The title “A Tasty Lake” seemed fitting for this minimalist lakeside photograph.
The name of the lake in this photograph is Lac Léman or Lake Geneva in English. The subtle mountain silhouette in the back is of the French Alps of the Haute-Savoie.
