Praia do Evaristo is a small but beautiful sandy beach near Albufeira, in the Algarve region of Portugal. The beach is very interesting, as it is surrounded by cliffs, beautiful rock formations and tidal pools. It is definitely worth exploring. Not that a path runs along the coast there for those who want to go on a longer hike.
It was a sunset in March, so there weren’t many people around at Praia do Evaristo. As a result, it was a great evening to look for different compositions and perspectives.
This group of sea stacks, lit sideways by sunset light, was one of the finds of this evening. This specific scene caught the eye, because the sea stacks seemed to be adrift in the vast waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. Also, the layers in them look special.
The ocean was calm and there were some nice clouds on the horizon. A shutter time of 4 minutes smoothens the clouds and the water. It creates a more minimalist and zen look and feel. A black & white treatment enhances that.
