This photograph features the Swiss Alps at Lake Sils. Lake Sils, or the Silsersee in German, is a beautiful alpine lake in the Engadin region in the Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. The name of the main mountain that you see in the back is Piz de la Margna. It is 3,159 m (10,364 ft) high.
This lake landscape photograph in black & white was captured during a sunset. A longer exposure time smoothened the water of the lake and the clouds above the mountains in the back. The photograph is less busy as a result. The cloud formation above Piz de la Margna looks a bit like an eruption, hence the title “Eruption”.
Lake Sils and the Engadin region, in general, is an excellent place for lake and mountain landscape photography. Especially in autumn because of the larch tree forests along the lakes. The photograph was captured near Sils in Engadin, by the way. Make sure to visit if you get the chance!

Always a great view to see Johan! I do like the Lake Sils image with the rock in the foreground slightly better as it has those exquisite mountain nice reflections.
