The beach of Ballydowane Cove offers many excellent opportunities for coastal landscape photography. The area has a rugged elevated coastline and a sandy beach with rocks. Besides that, it has jagged cliffs, sea stacks and a view on the Celtic Sea. The beach is beautiful both at sunrise and sunset, so make sure to visit when you get the chance!
Soft sunset light warms this Irish coastal landscape sideways. As you can see, it creates a subtle play of shadows and light on the sea stack as well as on the rocks. A longer exposure time smoothened the water and the clouds in the sky. As a result, most distractions in this photograph of Ballydowane Cove are eliminated. The black & white presentation helps with that as well.
Ballydowane Cove lies on the Copper Coast in County Waterford, Ireland. This coastal area is very well known for its beautiful coastline and secluded beaches. It also is a UNESCO Global Geopark.
