The area around Garrarus Beach, or Garrarus Strand, offers plenty of compelling opportunities for coastal landscape photography. It has an elevated coastline, sandy beached with rocks and jagged cliffs as well as a stunning view on the North Atlantic Ocean. Make sure to visit when you get the chance!
It was a rather cloudy day, as can be seen in this fine art photograph in B&W. For some reason, it fits the subject and rugged scenery though. A longer exposure time smoothened the ocean water and the clouds. As a result, most distractions in this photograph of the cliffs near Garrarus Beach are eliminated. Undoubtedly, the black & white presentation strengthens the mood of the photo. The view in this photograph is from an elevated position. As a result, there is some nice depth in the image.
Garrarus Beach lies on the Copper Coast in County Waterford, Ireland. This coastal area has many sites and landscapes of international geological significance. It is a UNESCO Global Geopark.
