Less is more! This coastal scene begged for this minimalist and black & white presentation. Soft sunset light warmed the scenery sideways and created a beautiful play of shadows and light. The use of a longer exposure time smoothened the seawater as well as the clouds in the sky. This eliminates most distractions in this Irish landscape in B&W. “The Philosopher’s Stone” seemed fitting for this sooting and minimalist photograph, as it felt like a great place to think.
The sea stack in this coastal landscape stands tall at the beach of Ballydowane Cove on the Copper Coast in County Waterford, Ireland. The Copper Coast is very well-known for its beautiful rugged coastline and secluded beaches. It is an excellent place for photographing coastal landscapes like this Irish landscape in B&W. Also, it is a UNESCO Global Geopark. This means that it is a geographical area with sites and landscapes of international geological significance. It is a designated area along the southern coast of Ireland in County Waterford. It extends for about 17 km from Kilfarrasy in the east to Stradbally in the west.

Lovely minimalism Johan! The contrast between the sea stack and the smooth water is quite nice!
