Lake Geneva, or Lac Léman in French, is a beautiful large mountain lake on the north side of the Alps. It lies between the southwest of Switzerland and France and is one of the largest lakes in Western Europe. Lake Geneva offers stunning views. Amongst others, because of the Alps on its southside like you see in this lake landscape photograph.
The two rocks in this photograph line up nicely with the Alps rising above the clouds on the horizon. As a result, they look as if they are stepping stones to cross Lake Geneva and reach the beautiful French Alps on the other side. Hence the title “Stepping Stones”. This particular view is at Préverenges beach, which is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Vaud. Préverenges beach is one of the few sandy beaches on the shores of Lac Léman. Make sure to visit if you are into photography. You will find quite a few worthwhile foreground subjects there.

Outstanding work Johan. The mountains coming through the clouds are a completely unexpected treat. Very nice toning throughout.
