Sunsets up in the mountains of the Swiss Alps are very unpredictable. You never know what to expect. The mountain lake sunset in this lake landscape photograph is an excellent example of a moody and foreboding one. The evening sun sheds light on the thick clouds above the landscape and fog starts to enclose the mountains in the background. Hence the title “Mountain Moods”. It seems to fit this lake landscape in B&W well.

The lake in the photograph is Laghetto Moesola. Laghetto Moesola is a relatively small mountain lake up on the San Bernardino Pass in the Swiss Canton of Graubünden. The lake is situated at an altitude of 2,063 metres (6,768 ft). The names of the mountains in this photograph are Piz Uccello and Piz de la Lumbreida. Make sure to stop and have a look when you find yourself up on the San Bernardino pass!
