This lake landscape photograph features Lake Sils. Lake Sils (Silsersee, Lej da Segl) is a beautiful mountain lake in the Engadin region in the Swiss Canton of Graubünden. Lake Sils lies at an altitude of 1,797 metres (5,896 ft) above sea level. It is an excellent location to photograph mountain reflections, as can be seen in this lake landscape photograph.
It was just after sunrise on a calm autumn morning, and there was barely any wind. The mountain reflections are close to perfect as a result. A long exposure time smoothened the clouds and fog on the lake a bit. The photograph has a pleasant calm look and soothing feel because of it.
This black & white fine art photograph was captured near Sils im Engadin/Segl, a small town in the Upper Engadine valley. The mountain that you see on the left is Piz de la Margna. It is 3,159 metres (10,364 ft) high.

Many many times Josh! Lak Sils is, however, a nice place to revisit often. Especially in autumn 🙂
