Undoubtedly, Ireland is one of the best places to photograph coastal landscapes. This photograph of the Skellig Islands at sunset is a great example. Ireland has a very rugged coastline, and you typically get four seasons in one day.
This Irish coastal landscape photograph in black & white shows the view from the Kerry cliffs toward the Skellig Islands in the North Atlantic Ocean. It was sunset. As a result, soft light warms the cliffs and the Skellig Islands sideway. A longer exposure time smoothened the ocean water a bit. As a result, the cliffs stand out much better. A black & white presentation and a wide crop fit this photograph of the Skellig Islands at sunset best.
The title “last Light” seemed to be a suitable title for this moody Irish coastal landscape. The cliffs in this Irish coastal landscape in B&W rise from the North Atlantic Ocean just off the coast near Portmagee along the Ring of Kerry. The Ring of Kerry, or Mórchuaird Chiarraà in Irish, is a very scenic circular route in County Kerry in the south-western part of Ireland. Go visit, if you get the chance. It comes highly recommended!
