This snowy winter landscape with trees was captured in the Swiss countryside near the town of Romont in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. The scenery there is quite hilly and open with the occasional tree or small groups of trees here and there. The region there is excellent for shooting minimalist winter landscapes like this one as a result.
This beautiful scene caught the eye because it looks as if the two trees keep each other company in the cold and misty surroundings. The title “Together Alone” seemed quite fitting for this snowy winter landscape with trees.
This snowy winter landscape, with its misty background, has a distinctly minimalist look and feel. Without a doubt, the black and white presentation strengthens that. Less is quite often more! Because of the fog, there is not a lot of light warming the landscape. Nevertheless, there still is a pleasing contrast between the snow and the moody sky. The thin coat of snow on the trees is a nice bonus because it makes the trees stand out even better.

Alycia –
A lovely snow winter landscape and a fitting title! I especially like the subtle tones of the snow against the foggy background!
