Lac de Neuchâtel, or Lake Neuchâtel in English, is one of the largest lakes in Switzerland. It is a beautiful lake that mainly lies in the canton of Neuchâtel in the west of the country. The viewpoint for this sunset at Lac de Neuchâtel is near Cudrefin, a small town situated on the southeast shores of the lake.
The southeast shore is the most attractive side of the lake from a landscape photography perspective. This is because of the Jura mountains on the opposite side. Also, that southeast side is the best place to view the vivid colours of sunsets for which Lac de Neuchâtel is known. Also, it happens to be the place where the swan in this photograph of a sunset at Lac de Neuchâtel hangs out regularly.
