This lake landscape in B&W is titled “The End”. The main subject is a line of rock, which acts as a breakwater on the beach of Préverenges. Préverenges is a small town at the shores of Lac Léman (Lake Geneva) in the Swiss canton of Vaud. The beach there is an excellent location for landscape photography … and sunbathing. It is one of the few sandy beaches on the shores Lac Léman, and you will find quite a few worthwhile foreground subjects there.
This fine art photograph in black & white was taken using a longer exposure time. This smoothened the water as well as the clouds on the horizon. It is less busy as a result of it. The photo is in black & white, to create a bit of a dark and foreboding mood. Hence the title “The End”. In many ways, this seemed like a fitting title for this moody landscape photograph.
This fine art photograph is part of our Minimalist photography theme. Please visit the Lakes landscape photography theme for more lake landscape photographs. That theme features quite a few photos captured at Lac Léman. The photo titled Shadows & light is a great example.
