This mountain landscape was photographed in the Swiss National Park in the beautiful Canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. This wild mountain river runs along one of the many great hiking trails there. The park is worth a visit, especially if you like to hike and photograph in de midst of untouched nature.
“River Wild” seemed very fitting for this photograph. It shows a downward perspective of the mountain river. A longer exposure time smoothened the water. As a result, the mountain river looks less busy. In the back, you see a mountain called Piz Pisoc. Piz Pisoc is a characteristic mountain in the Sesvenna Range of the Alps.
Interested in seeing a more intimate photograph river rapid in black and white? Then have a look at the fine at photograph titled Marbled! That photograph is from the Swiss National Park as well.

Beautiful! The downward perspective of the mountain river is different but nice!

Thanks Steve! It’s been a long time ago that I shot this. Hope to go back there in the coming months.
