This Dutch coastal landscape in black & white was captured at the North Sea coast close to Rockanje in the province of South Holland. The North Sea coast in The Netherlands is an excellent location for photographing minimalist coastal landscapes like this one. As you can see, it can be quite foggy there. Challenging, but a great time to try to shoot something with a more minimalist style.
The sticks in this scene hold fishing nets in place. The tide was high. The fishing nets themselves are no longer visible as a result. The sunset subtly lit this misty landscape and created a dreamy atmosphere. Besides that, it helped to create a minimalist look and feel. Undoubtedly the black & white presentation strengthens that. A longer exposure time smoothened the water at the North Sea coast a bit. Less is often more! “Daydreaming” seemed like an appropriate title for this minimalist fine art photograph in black & white.

I just love the fog in this black and white photograph.
