The view in this winter landscape with fog and snow is close to the town of Gruyères (Greyerz) in the Swiss canton of Fribourg. The six fruit trees seem to warm each other on this cold winter day in the Swiss countryside. The Swiss countryside is full of fruit trees like this. It is not always easy to find them in isolation, though.

This scene with trees against the background of fog and snow creates a soothing and zen mood. The black and white presentation strengthens that. The title “Winter Tranquillity” seemed fitting. The trees have a fresh dusting of snow, and there is some light in their back. The trees stand out nicely as a result.
