This landscape photograph in colour shows a typical Swiss winter scene. It features an old Swiss chalet with red window blinds. Various trees surround the chalet on a snow-covered mountain slope in the Swiss Alps. Soft sunset light subtly warms this otherwise frosty winter scene sideways. The chalet and trees recently received a fresh dusting of new snow. The scenery is very crisp and pristine as a result. The fact that the trees still have snow on them is an essential part of this Swiss winter landscape.
This Swiss winter scene was captured from across a mountain valley in Ormont-Dessous. Ormont-Dessous a small alpine town in the Canton of Vaud in Switzerland. This area in the canton of Vaud is beautiful, especially closer to Les Diablerets, which is a massive mountain massif covered with ice. The region is not only excellent for landscape photography but also hiking and ski tours. Make sure to visit this part of the Swiss Alps when you get the chance!

A beauty! Although I like the red blinds, it would be great to see it in B&W as well 🙂
