Tearaght Island is one of the Blasket Islands or Na Blascaodaí in Irish. They are a group of islands in the North Atlantic Ocean close to the west coast of Ireland. This photograph of a sunrise at the Blasket Islands was taken from an elevated position on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. The Dingle Peninsula is an excellent location for coastal landscape photography. So, make sure to go there if you get the chance!
The scene immediately caught the eye because of the early morning light that is gradually waking up Tearaght Island. This day started in a foreboding but exciting way. The light was all over the place. As a result, this daybreak at Tearaght Island begged to be photographed with a big sky. A black & white presentation fits the scene best. The title “A Touch of Light” seemed to be a suitable title for this Irish landscape photograph.
