The Zeeland Bridge, or Zeelandbrug in Dutch, is an iconic bridge situated in The Netherlands. It spans the Oosterschelde waterway and connects the islands of Schouwen-Duiveland and Noord-Beveland in the western province of Zeeland. The Zeeland Bridge is the longest in the Netherlands with a length of 5,022 metres (16,476 ft). The Oosterschelde, or Eastern Scheldt in English, is a former estuary and the largest national park in the Netherlands.
Zeeland is an excellent place for coastal landscape photography because of the many interesting subjects you find there like the Zeeland Bridge.
This minimalist black & white coastal landscape was captured close to sunset on a day with foggy and rather moody weather. The sunset softly lights the bridge sideways as a result. A longer exposure time smoothened the water of the Oosterschelde. Besides that, it is in black & white. This combination simplifies the photograph. As a result, it enhances the minimalist mood and zen feel. “To Infinity” seemed to be a suitable title for this photograph of the Zeeland Bridge.
