Lac Léman, or Lake Geneva in English, is the largest lake in the Alps and one of the largest lakes in Europe. It lies between the southwest of Switzerland and France. The view captured in this photograph is in Chexbrex. Chexbrex is a small picturesque town situated amid the beautiful Vineyards of Lavaux in Switzerland.
You see Lac Léman and the Alps from a slightly higher elevation there. As a result, the perspective on the lake is different, and the views quite stunning. The sunbeams pass through a layer of clouds and fog diagonally in this fine art landscape photograph in B&W. As a result, they create patches of light on the lake and a small sailing boat. A black & white presentation seems to fit the scene best. Colour would be a distraction in a photograph like this.
Please visit our Lakes landscape photography theme, to see many more photographs of Lac Léman and the Alps. The photo titled Stepping Stones is a great example. Furthermore, the Lakes theme showcases lake landscape photographs from all over the world. Alternatively, consider visiting our Black & White Photography portfolio for more photos in black and white.
