This close-up, also called macro photograph, features a beautiful wood scabious flower. An alternative name for this flower is Knautia Dipsacifolia. This specific scabious flower lived somewhere on a higher altitude in the Swiss Alps. A shallow depth of field gives this wood scabious flower a lovely dreamy and quite a delicate look and feel. Also, its violet-blue colour stands out nicely against the blurry green background as a result of the shallow depth of field.
